This Web site is only for direct/merchandising suppliers (products sold in The Home Depot stores)

Becoming a Supplier to The Home Depot entails meeting the following requirements. More details can be found in the Supplier Reference Guide located at: The Home Depot Supplier Center


  • The ability to sign The Home Depot Supplier Buying Agreement, a legally binding contract


  • Financial resources and/or the ability to raise adequate capital to properly fulfill The Home Depot requirements


  • Proper levels of insurance to conduct business with The Home Depot


  • Electronic communication of business documents between your company and The Home Depot

    If your product is of interest, a merchant will contact you and may ask you to present your idea. Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions you will not receive formal communication if your product is not selected for further consideration.

    This Web site is also the place to inform you about Open to Buy events organized by The Home Depot. These events provide an opportunity for selected suppliers to showcase their new and innovative products to The Home Depot. If a new event is planned the details will be posted on this Web site.


  • The Home Depot strongly believes in the protection of intellectual property. Its Value Wheel and other logos, as well as its product brands and designs, represent tremendous assets of the Company. In order to preserve the rights of others who own intellectual property, care must be taken before any products or ideas are shared. The following requirements allow us to make this opportunity available while protecting the rights of you and of The Home Depot. You must agree to these terms before The Home Depot can accept your submission.


    • You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights in the product and that the product is available for sale in the US without violating anyone else's rights.


    • If you are selected to meet with a Merchant and/or for participation in an Open to Buy Event, you will be required to execute a mutual nondisclosure agreement (NDA). This is to protect both parties' intellectual property during any discussions.


    • In certain circumstances you may lose some of the exclusive rights in your product by submitting it for consideration before it is properly protected. Consult an attorney if you have any questions about protecting your rights.


    • If you are selected to become a supplier to The Home Depot you will be required to sign The Home Depot's Supplier Buying Agreement. In addition, your product and/or factories may be subject to tests and/or audits in accordance with The Home Depot's quality assurance and social and environmental responsibility policies. You are encouraged to read about these policies at The Home Depot Supplier Center


    • Submission of your questionnaire does not guarantee you a discussion with a Merchant or selection for participation in an Open to Buy Event.
